A game isn't created in a single leap. Our build journal follows real changes to gameplay, characters, environments and storytelling - the things we changed, and the things we're still improving.

The expansion
A larger world takes shape.
Build X3 takes the existing three-region campaign and extends it through Tempestscale Aerie and Cindergear Foundry, introducing new combat spaces and systems without replacing the previous work.
Previous · Build X2
Three developed regions
Bristlemaw, Mirebloom and Ossuary formed the core campaign, with their existing heroes, bosses, town and progression.
Now · Build X3
Five developed regions
Two new regions add twelve road encounters, two optional world bosses, two earned helpers, two Guardians and original art/audio work.
NOW - Tempestscale: Aeralith and arena mechanicsNOW - Cindergear: industrial arena and hazards
Build status: this is a playable local development candidate, not a public launch. Release notes retain qualified test results and outstanding checks rather than treating every planned check as passed.
Explore what changed in X3
Tempestscale Aerie: a storm-themed campaign with the Twin Roc, Aeralith and Zhaerok; lightning and airborne boss mechanics require active counters.
Cindergear Foundry: machinery-driven encounters, hazard systems and fights involving Bragg, Kiln-9 and Vulkrun.
Earned allies: Nera Skywright and Nessa Coilhand, alongside Caelis and Veyra Guardians, are integrated with the new regions.
Art and audio: additional native environment kits, region music, ambience and effects were produced.
Verification: candidate testing and source review were documented. Some broad reruns were not completed before the requested local delivery.

The visual transformation
The world begins to breathe.
Build X2 concentrated on presentation rather than increasing the campaign's combat scope: hero faces and hair, a living woodland menu, enhanced regional materials, new music and a rebuilt 3D opening.
Previous · Build X
Illustrated opening, still menu
Build X included a studio opening and illustrated settlers sequence. The title was a still composition over the paused game renderer.
Now · Build X2
Living woodland and native 3D film
The menu gained animated foliage, mist, fireflies and camera motion; the settlers film became eight connected native 3D shots.

Explore the X2 craft notes
Original hero silhouettes, skeletons, character sockets and animation contracts were preserved while face, hair and material details were revised.
New surface treatments were added to twenty Mirebloom/Ossuary enemy and boss models, with additional regional ground tiles and atmosphere.
Eleven new music streams accompanied titles, exploration, battles and major encounters.
The visual and audio revisions preserved the established combat and progression values. Release documentation retains its test qualifications.
Oct 2026 v0.2.0 / X
The foundation
A campaign worth building.
Build X established the independent three-region campaign: campaign roads, hero choices, town systems, boss lairs, progression and the original Jutara studio identity.
Previous · Milestone 1
A playable Region 1 milestone
An earlier browser milestone concentrated on the first region, the Cinderpit world boss, a tutorial, town and endless Gloamwell mode. Later regions were still locked.
Now · Build X
Three-region independent campaign
Mirebloom and the Ossuary Procession became playable additions, with enemies, bosses, region-specific assets and music.
The enemy-model comparison image documents a later Build X2 art revision. It is shown here to illustrate the continuing refinement of the original three-region foundation, not as Build X artwork.
What the first campaign build contained
Three regions, each with six road sites, boss progression and a themed encounter roster.
World-boss lairs, rescued helpers, Guardians, runes, a walkable town and a tutorial.
The ten-second Jutara shield introduction and the original illustrated settlers film.
Playability and source test reports, including a documented unresolved ordinary combat case; not an unconditional all-tests pass.
Next chapters
Still more to prove.
The journey is ongoing. The next priorities are gameplay verification, mobile feel, technical consistency, stronger content presentation and a reliable public release process. Future AI-agent workflows for development QA are being explored, not advertised as shipped.
